Today, December 3rd, Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy joins the global community in marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. This day is a poignant reminder of the strength, resilience, and immense contributions of people with disabilities to the development of our society. It also reaffirms our collective responsibility to create an inclusive society where every individual, regardless of ability, can thrive.
As a beacon of education and medical excellence, Carol Davila University celebrates this occasion through a series of dedicated programs aimed at raising awareness, fostering empathy, and promoting inclusion. Students and staff are leading awareness activities, emphasizing the importance of accessibility in healthcare and beyond, with engaging discussions and powerful stories from guest speakers.
UMFCD reaffirms its commitment to cultivating an environment where every individual can reach their full potential by continuing to develop initiatives dedicated to inclusion and accessibility. Through the CNFIS FDI-2024-F-0567 project – Transforming the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy into an Inclusion Hub for Students with Disabilities, our institution is making sustained efforts to provide resources, support, and opportunities to ensure the integration and empowerment of students with disabilities within the academic community.
We are honored to celebrate this day alongside our community, embracing the principles of dignity, inclusion, and innovation.
Together, let us shape a future that everyone may reach dreams and potential!
